The legacy of the Mughal empire has left a magnificent fort and a liberal sprinkling of fascinating tombs and mausoleums, and there’s also fun to be had in the bustling chowks (marketplaces). After sightseeing of TajMahal & Agra Fort, overnight at the Hotel in Agra. Tajmahal & Agra Fort is closed on Friday.
Agra to Jaipur by Road (250 kms – 5 hrs): Today after breakfast depart for Jaipur – Inarguably an alluring treasure trove, Jaipur, deserves to be the capital of equally attractive state of Rajasthan. This famous travel place best reflects the opulent Rajputana architecture, traditions and history of the state. However, this is not all that make Jaipur a popular tourist attraction; the fact that the city is a flavour some fusion of old and modern keeps it all interesting for travellers. Day-2: Cochin to Alleppey by Road ( 65 kms – 2 hrs): Today after breakfast, proceed to Alleppey – Referred to as the Venice of the East, Alappuzha has always enjoyed an important place in the maritime history of Kerala. Today, it is famous for its boat races, backwater holidays, beaches, marine products and coir industry. Alappuzha Beach is a popular picnic spot. Another delightful experience while in Alappuzha is the houseboat cruise. The houseboats you find in the backwaters of Alappuzha are in fact a reworked version of the Kettuvallams of olden times. Kettuvallam is a Malayalam word, ‘Kettu’, refers to dwelling structures and ‘Vallom’ means boat. In the olden days, kettuvallam or boat with thatched roof that covers over wooden hulls was used to carry tons of rice and spices. Enjoy a Houseboat cruise in backwaters of Alleppey and overnight stay at Alleppey Houseboat or stay at Hotel as per the Guest preference.
